Role:-

QA Engineer - Full Time W2

Location:-
Fully remote, USA

Salary Range:-
$100,000 - $130,000

Responsibilities:-

• Setup and maintain local test environments for multiple interconnected systems
• Test new or modified software programs and software development procedures
• Recommend improvements or corrections
• Perform hands-on, in-depth investigations and debugging at all levels of the stack using the same tools as developers and infrastructure engineers
• Perform testing across multiple deployed environments
• Document test results, analysis reports, logs and metrics
• Perform complex test engineering activities throughout the assigned software life cycle
• Work closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures
• Perform in-depth and detailed investigations into data quality issues
• Develop, implement, maintain and enhance test plans, test automation and test methodologies to ensure compliance with system specifications
• This role requires careful coordination with the development team to ensure all bug fixes are checked in, each environment is stable and ready for use, customer communication is ongoing and open, and releases are properly tested, documented, and validated
• Performs extensive manual and exploratory testing of release candidates
• Delivers stable, tested code/configuration to production during release windows
• Delivery and Execution - Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software, with a clear understanding of the value the software is to provide

Qualifications:-

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of Javascript-based engineering required
• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer writing automated tests with Javascript/Typescript
• 2+ years of full stack experience developing and debugging applications built with Javascript/Typescript, React, and Node
• Experience with and knowledge of a wide range of QA and testing strategies
• Understanding of the latest web technologies, testing processes, tools, cloud deployments, protocols
• Highly motivated to learn technical aspects of multiple interconnected systems
• Ability to create test plans, define testing strategies, and identify high risk areas
• Ability to create and document end-to-end test plans that span multiple systems
• Experience setting up and maintaining up-to-date local test environments
• Experience with manual and exploratory testing
• Experience with testing tools like Cypress, Postman, and BrowserStack
• Experience writing automated backend tests for GraphQL and Websocket APIs
• Experience with SQL databases and administration tools, Postgres specifically
• Experience with VSCode, git, Github, JIRA, and other development tools
• Experience performing backend testing and debugging
• Experience with load, stress, and soak testing
• Interest in developing new testing tools specific to our use cases
• Experience testing iOS application and writing automated tests using Appium
• Cryptocurrency/digital assets related working experience is a big plus
• Comfortable with CLI environments like zsh and bash and their related tools
• Experience with remote collaboration and tools like Slack, Confluence, and Zoom
• Experience with AWS is also preferred
